Calling MPs/MLAs
On Friday, September 22nd volunteers left over 2000 voicemails for Members of Parliament across the nation! Their messages urged them to make grad student and postdoc funding a priority. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped fill up inboxes to kick off Advocacy Week!
Gaining knowledge
Training Volunteers
Support Our Science conducted training of over 40 graduate students and postdocs to help them prepare to meet with their Members of Parliament. This included a 4-week training program on government and media skills in collaboration with partners such as Evidence For Democracy.
